Studio Banana TV Interviews Pablo Valbuena

Studio Banana TV interviews visual artist and architect Pablo Valbuena (Madrid, 1978). After working in digital media designing virtual architectures for videogames, he currently looks for new ways of using light to introduce the dimensions of time and movement in urban spaces, altering the perception of physical space through projected virtual realities.

His Augmented Sculptures create objects and space entailing a tension between the virtual and the physical realms. His works has been shown in Korea, Austria, Singapore, Canada, Holland and Spain. His most notorious interventions are Entramado in the Plaza de las Letras in Madrid, Augmented Sculpture in Ars Electronica-Linz and the light intervention on the façade of the townhall in The Hague during the todaysart08 festival. He is linked to the MediaLab Prado through a group of investigation about light, space and perception which he created together with Daniel Canogar and Julian Oliver.
